Worship Him Anyway

Written by: Ms. D

As we fight for our lives in a broken world that does its best to defeat us, there are few weapons more powerful than our worship of the only true God. To worship Him in the midst of our toughest battles is to join God in unity and draw close to our greatest strength.

“Since we are receiving a Kingdom that is unshakable, let us be thankful and please God by worshiping Him with holy fear and awe. For our God is a devouring fire.” (Heb. 12:28-29, NLT)

I already have victory in Christ, and I am part of a Kingdom that is powerful and “unshakable”! It’s easy to praise and thank God when I’m feeling confident in His plans for my life; unfortunately, not every day feels that way. When Satan is actively attacking, and I’m believing lies, and my heart is hurting…worship is often the last place I want to go. But even on those days, God is God, and God is good. And so I must worship Him anyway.

When I am depressed and anxious, and there’s no relief in sight…WORSHIP HIM ANYWAY.

When my mind and spirit are discouraged, and I’m struggling to hear truth…WORSHIP HIM ANYWAY.

Whether I’m in a season of joy and contentment, or sorrow and dissatisfaction…WORSHIP HIM ANYWAY.

When it doesn’t make sense and doesn’t feel right, worship Him anyway. Because He is your creator, your rescuer, your planner, your dreamer, your hope, your future, and He DESERVES your worship!

Praise Him. Thank Him. And watch God’s fire devour the battles against your life!
